Peach - Orange
Nuevo Leon Kingsnakes

Lampropeltis mexicana thayeri

Top: An extreme version peach-orange 'leonis' L. m. thayeri with intense peach-orange body cast and sliver thin black bands. This adult male is also being utilized in the development of the heterozygous and albino peach-orange thayeri x ruthveni

A special combination of colors, patterns, and genetic flexibility has led thayeri to become one of the most exquisite varieties of domestically produced Kingsnakes. Our colony consists of specimens with the extreme peach-orange body cast trait in both the "leonis phase" and "milk snake phase" pattern morphs. The extreme version peach-orange trait has been refined from multiple generations of selective breeding from the original best ‘buckskin thayeri’ collected near Dr. Arroyo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico in the early 1980’s.
