A gorgeous variety showing the full albino splendor of brilliant wide-banded red or red-orange coloration. The extreme intensity of the albino red color is a result of the naturally occurring shade of cherry red coloration that is unique to L. triangulum sps. from the central west coast lowlands of Mexico. The albino Nelson’s triad count varies from 14 to 18 wide red to red-orange bands with uniformly narrow and bright yellow rings bordered by pale white. The pale white color may remain to adulthood or transition to an intense yellow-orange color resulting in two distinct adult color morphs. The red to red-orange bands may connect laterally along the full length of the body forming a bull’s-eye pattern of white ovals with yellow centers as pictured above. A single and unknown to be heterozygous albino Nelson’s Milk Snake collected in Colima, Mexico about 1980 is the likely founder of the albino trait leading to the first 2 albinos being produced in 1991.
